Training on Renewable Energy

Our training program includes a partnership with a top level US University with instructors well embedded in the industry. For example, one instructor has been with the wind industry since 1977 and has helped pioneer the wind turbine created by NASA and US DOE. We also partner with companies who create the leading market tools used today by top renewable energy developers. Training in these tools is by experts from other countries here in the Philippines through our partnership.

Other Trainings/Services we provide

We provide support services for renewable energy developers in their Corporate Social Responsibility Program through education of the host community on renewable energy projects. We believe successful projects involve an informed host community on the RE developments in their area.

We also provide educational partnerships on educating local government units to make an informed decision for future projects in their area.

We also provide in the grass roots level of teaching these technologies and business models to let the younger generation understand their future in RE development.

The cost of failure due to public opposition is why organizing community supporters is so important. Developers and Government Units with the foresight of letting the public understand Renewable Energy will be finding it well worth the investment.

Pre-Development Expert

The early development phase of a Wind Project begins even before met mast tower is erected. Our ability to run wind data via numerical weather models over a proposed wind farm site allows us to make a good decision in development opportunities in terms of their viability, value, and invest only the most promising prospects. Once a site are assessed and prioritized using years of wind reference data, Coastal Renewable Energy Technology Center then helps developers assess critical factors and obstacles in obtaining project viability. Once we have assessed a site we also provide:

• Siting guidance for towers
• Advice on met mast tower equipment and sensors
• Plans and field support for sensor installation or sensor audits
• Tower erection and sensor maintenance
• Data reporting

MET Mast Loan Program (MMLP)

This program allows landowners, government institutions, private corporations and other developers to learn if their site has commercial wind potential. We analyze the data and report the amount of power that would have been generated over that period with a variety of wind turbines. The cost of this service includes the installation and decommissioning of the meteorological tower and other equipment.
